Man attacks bank in Ogun state under 'God’s instruction
– A middle-aged man,
identified as Oyediran Oladipupo smashes car windshields and glass doors
in the premises of a first generation bank – The said attacker
claimes to be acting on the instruction of God to engage in the violent conduct
– The Ogun state police command has detained the alleged attacker and will
charge him to court soon There was panic among bank customers at a
Sango-Ota branch of a first generation bank in Ogun state after a man smashed
car windshields and glass doors in the premises of the financial
institution. The middle-aged man, identified as Oyediran
Oladipupo, claimed to be acting on the instruction of God to engage in the
violent conduct at the banks premises on Thursday, November 24. The conduct of
the said attacker caused serious panic among bank customers,
with everyone scampering for safety as they mistook the incident for
an armed robbery, The Punch reports. However the bank’s management was said to have
called on the policemen from the nearby Sango area command, who later stormed
the bank and promptly arrested him.
