Make
sure you are cleared by your school as any student who is not cleared will not
be mobilise for service. Endeavor to clear with your school during your final
year. Your clearance makes you eligible to proceed to NYSC. Make sure you have
paid all your debt in order to obtain your certificate. Make sure that your fee
clearance card is signed and it is up to date.
3. Endeavor to be
mobilise by your school
Mobilisation
for NYSC is done every year by the student’s affairs department of any
Institution. When once it is time for mobilization and graduate are called
upon, endeavor to join others in the mobilization exercise. The student’s
affairs department of your school will give you a form to fill after which your

4. Join NYSC school
orientation talk show
Joining
the NYSC talk show is of high important. This talk show has gone a long way in
helping prospective corpers. NYSC talk shows are usually a little group of talk
about NYSC with the main aim of informing prospective corpers on the do’s and
don’t’s of service. This talk show is usually organize by core members who
visit higher institutions for the purposed of telling students what they should
expect as well as what they should expect in their service year.
5. Enquire from
other corpers
It
is often said: if you are not inform , you are deformed an inform person is one
that is free from all unforeseen occurrences, considering the fact that you
have been told of the impending problems encountered by those that have been in
service.
Yes!
Make friends with past core-members as well as serving corpers and politely ask questions concerning their service year. Ask questions such as: Their experience in a particular geographical area and why they choose to serve there, and how welcoming was their host communities.

6. Do the Online
registration
Once
NYSC portal is open, don’t hesitate to register online in their portal. NYSC
registration is done online at its portal. Ask for the service of a café
assistance or better still you can do it yourself. Sometimes most people do
find it difficult to register in the day time because of high traffic on the
portal so it is advisable to register at night when visitors are less
congested.
Before
going for service, be financially suited. NYSC service like education is not
for those that are poor. I’m not trying to emphasize that you must be
financially buoyant before you can go for services, but you must atleast have
something that can put the body and soul together. Many people do the mistake
of going there with the mission of utilising Government’s monthly allowance,
but the truth is that this allowance is usually not enough for corpers and
sometimes it is not being paid on time. So the need for enough money is of high
important.
